An antique carousel, carriage rides, music, face painting, games, a dog agility exhibition, street performers, balloons and puppeteers are among the many highlights planned especially for family enjoyment. The New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix is part of the community's Signature Series of events. Started earlier this year, the Signature Series is designed to bring the community together in neighborhood-based activities that appeal to diverse audiences. The activities generate financial support or advocacy for organizations that improve the quality of life. "Next month's Grand Prix will be a world-class event, but it could not happen without local support from our neighbors and businesses in New Albany," said Abigail Wexner, leader of The Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence. "From 4-H and Pony Club members to local performers, we are grateful for the assistance and dedication to making the Classic a special tradition in our community." Ticket Information Tickets for the Classic may be obtained by calling (614) 889-6875. For guests 17 and older, tickets are $25. Children 16 and younger, with an accompanying adult, will be admitted free. All proceeds from the Classic will go directly toward initiatives and programs providing shelter, counseling, support, education, outreach and advocacy for victims of family violence in Central Ohio.
