NEW ALBANY CLASSIC INCLUDES FAMILY ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES


OSU Cheerleaders, Pataskala Dog Agility Club, and Local Farms in Granville, Sunbury and Centerburg Contribute for Family Activities


(New Albany) – On September 24, the best of North America's equestrian athletes will compete at the New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix, but children and families can also enjoy rides, games, and fun exhibits planned especially for them.

The fundraising event, benefiting the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence, will be held at the home of Abigail and Les Wexner in New Albany. Gates open at 10AM and the competition program begins at 2PM. Tickets may be obtained by visiting the official website at www.TheNewAlbanyClassic.com or by calling (614) 889-6875.

“The Grand Prix offers a great value for families who would like to support the efforts of the Coalition,” said Abigail Wexner, leader of the Coalition. “Not only can our guests see the highest level of equestrian talent, but they can bring the children and enjoy many attractions especially there for kids.”

Family Activities include:
Fun rides including a Giant Slide, a Giant Swing, a Ball Pit and a Kiddie Train
Antique Carousel
Antique Carriage Rides
Sport Court featuring Double Dutch jumping, and stunt demonstrations from the Ohio University cheerleaders, children may also play basketball on the Court.

Dog Agility Demonstrations from Praise Dog Agility Club based in Pataskala
A Petting Zoo with miniature donkeys from Red Gate Farm in Centerburg; miniature horses from Fallen Ash Farm in Granville; and other farm animals from Bent Arrow Farm in Sunbury
COSI on Wheels
Wexner Center for Arts
Old-fashioned games and carnival games
Clowns, jugglers, artists and face painting

The Classic is an American Horse Show sanctioned invitational that features North America's top professional riders, selected from the United States Equestrian Team computerized listing. Competitors compete for $50,000 in prize money. This year, for the first time, the New Albany Classic will be televised nationally on Fox Sports Network.
