			FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 07, 2000 NEW ALBANY CLASSIC SCHEDULED ON NATIONAL SPORTS CHANNEL FOX Sports Network Will Present Invitational Grand Prix November 10 (Columbus) – The excitement of world-class equestrian competition and the beauty and spirit of the community of New Albany will be featured on the FOX Sports Network on Friday, November 10, at 11:00a.m., as the sports channel presents the 2000 New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix to a national and international audience. The program will include coverage of the Grand Prix plus highlights of Family Day activities, as well as shots from Columbus and New Albany. A featured segment included remarks by Abigail Wexner on the community's efforts to reduce domestic violence. Mrs. Wexner is the Chair of the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence. All proceeds from the New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix benefit initiatives that reduce family violence in Central Ohio. The 2000 New Albany Classic raised more than $1 million for Coalition-sponsored initiatives. The 2000 New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix was held September 24. The annual event is a uniquely designed fundraiser combining outstanding equestrian competition featuring the nation's top riders (including several Olympic medalists), with fun activities for children and families.
