(COLUMBUS) - Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence Board Chair and Founder Abigail S. Wexner announced the expansion the Coalition's Business Community and Victim Services Task Forces with the addition of the following community leaders:

Business Community Task Force
  • Gayle Brocksmith, Limited Brands
  • Nick Rees, Kroger
  • Sue Wilburn, Children's Hospital
Victim Services Task Force
  • Rick Carrick, United Way of Central Ohio
  • Kate Foulke, Columbus Board of Health - Franklin County Domestic
  • Violence Death Review Panel
  • Atiba Jones, Prevent Child Abuse Ohio at Children's Hospital

"The Coalition is successful because of our partnerships throughout the community. The addition of these leaders will help the task forces as they continue and expand their initiatives to achieve the Coalition's mission of creating a community culture that does not tolerate family violence," Wexner said.

The Coalition focuses its work on five touch points - where the victim and societal institutions intersect - with task forces working to create systemic change. These task forces are: Business Community/Public Education, Faith Community, Health Care, Legal System and Victim Services.

Founded in 1998, The Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence is comprised of leaders from businesses and organizations in Central Ohio committed to reforming our systems to stop the cycle of violence in our community.
